I love books and I love to read. This is no secret. I'm starting to think, however, that it is not a good idea for me to read a good series of books. They're dangerous! Against my better judgment, I started to read the Twilight series last week. I wanted to hate it. All my 7th grade girls are absolutely ga-ga over these books. They've read them fifteen times, they role play scenes from the book with their friends, they have I "heart" Edward stickers on their assignment notebooks. I picked up the first book only to prove to myself that it was a silly, juvenile book that I, a woman of a more sophisticated palatte to be sure, would have absolutely no interest in.....
There is a reason I haven't posted to the blog or barely checked my email since Saturday. I'm in the third book now and I'm obsessed. I like them. I like them a lot. I hate to admit it, but I am really enjoying this series and I am using every spare moment to read further in the whole "Who will kill Bella first?" saga. I'll rejoin the land of the living as soon as I'm done with Breaking Dawn, I promise.
