Potty Practice

Ok, so I know I said we weren't going to aggressively pursue potty training right away since putting Isaiah's potty in the bathroom, but I'm starting to think he might be ready to give it a shot sooner than I thought. Isaiah has been just enthralled with that potty from the first moment it arrived and I also showed him his big-boy Pull Ups and he really dug those too. In fact, today he brought me a pair of his Pull Ups when I got home from work today, so I asked him if he wanted to try them out. He said yes, so we changed him from a diaper into a Pull Up. I showed him how to pull them down so he could sit on the potty and I left him in the bathroom for a few minutes while I changed out of my work clothes. When I came back into the bathroom, Isaiah was standing by the potty, pulling up his Pull Ups and he had peed in the potty!! I got all excited and gave him a big high five. I'll guess we'll keep trying to remind him about the potty this week and see how things go. Maybe we can be diaper-free come 2010....wouldn't that be cool?
