Evan and I had our first date night since August last night and Ashley was kind enough to watch the boys for us. We grabbed a quick bite at Quizno's and I can't help but think that place is overpriced. Anyway, we went to the Walgreens next door to Quizno's so we could buy our movie candy for cheap and smuggled our contraband into the theater to see "New Moon." (And no, I don't feel bad about taking in the snacks. The prices they charge for that stuff there is nothing short of armed robbery and we still bought popcorn.) Having read the Twilight series (see
this post), I was looking forward to seeing this movie because I was really hoping they would do a better job with it than the first one and I wasn't disappointed. I'm going to come right out and say that part of the reason I really liked it was the pretty constant serving of beefcake via the pack of werewolves! I mean, seriously. Wow. I felt kind of guilty for digging the shirtless smorgasbord so much on my date night, but I was quickly distracted by Taylor Lautner standing in the rain and I forgot my own name. Is it creepy that he's only 17? I'm going to pretend that he's 20. Yeah....that's better.
