We made it back home safe and sound and the roads were actually perfect for our drive. However, we did have a somewhat difficult first night here at Grandpa & Grandma's house. Evan was up with Micah until 1:30 in the morning!!! Typically he will eat around 10:30 or 11:00 and then go to sleep until morning, but this particular evening he decided to stay
wide awake until the wee hours. Evan was not impressed. Meanwhile, I was laying in bed downstairs in quite a bit of pain, feeling similar stomach pains to what I've been hit with over the past week and a half. No fun. Evan got to sleep around 1:45 am, but I was awake until after 3:00 am. Micah woke up to eat at 6:15.
I am tired.
Sleepiness aside, Merry Christmas!! We've had a great day so far and I'm really looking forward to the next day and a half of festivities. I'm a little anxious about the condition of the roads for when we're supposed to drive back home Friday night, but I guess we will cross that bridge when it comes. Say a short prayer for our safe travels!
