From Tonglu to Yuhuan

Evan finished up his business in Tonglu over the weekend and headed out for a 6 hour drive to Yuhuan to visit YMV (Yuhuan Milwaukee Valve).  Sunday was basically a traveling day, but the plan is to really get down to business on Monday.  Here is the latest installment of photos from Evan's experiences in China.

I took a few panoramic pictures out on our patio at the apartment. Interestingly, the second, shorter photo shows much of the same image as the picture I sent the other day, but you would never know it since the mountains are covered by fog/pollution.

While travelling to Yuhuan, we stopped in Hangzhou (made famous as the place where Nixon stayed when he was the first president to visit Communist China). They have a market there that is pretty cool.

A temple in the market.

A lion.  These normally flank hotels, shops, etc.  They are supposed to give luck to the owners.

All of the following were taken at one shop.  Some of the most amazing carving I have seen in my life.  The statue in the first photo can be yours for the low, low price of $100,000.

I think the table is almost as cool as the statues.  It must be 10 feet long and it all one piece of wood.
