And the Pain Continues....

The last time I wrote about this, the response was overwhelming.  I was so touched by the people who offered their prayers, suggestions for courses of treatment, and even possible diagnoses for what's causing my pain.  Unfortunately I don't have any good news to share yet.  After the appointment I had with my NP, I had some blood work done and was supposed to be referred to a rheumatologist.  My blood results showed that the rheumatoid factor in my blood is indeed positive and my Vitamin D was low.  I have since begun taking a whole bunch of vitamins, thanks to my mother-in-law, but so far no word from a rheumatologist.  I'm still waiting on that one.

As for the pain intself, it's probably safe to say it's getting worse rather than better.  My right wrist is extremely weak, especially when I'm at work.  I do wear the wrist brace at work.  The pain in that hand also extended into the hand itself, especially the pointer finger.  For the first couple hours every morning, I walk with a bit of a limp because my feet, toes, and ankles hurt.  I also recently had another joint flare up.  I felt pretty good this morning, but by 3:00 in the afternoon, I had to take some Tylenol for the excruciating pain in my left shoulder.  If it follows suit, it will stay sore for a couple days and then slowly abate.

Thank you again for your continued prayers and suggestions.  Hopefully the next time I write about this, I will have better news.
