Ok, we're getting off track here. The point is that nobody is perfect and no pretty blog design, playful banter, or flawless photos are going to make someone perfect. What is exciting is that there are just as many amazing and happy things going on behind the scenes are there are unmade beds and unfolded laundry piles.
So, in the spirit of truly representing reality, here are just a few of the incredible and crazy happy things that are part of my world (in no particular order):
- My baby has the most gorgeous blue eyes I have ever seen.
- My fridge, pantry, and freezer have food in them. Lots of food. Even when we say, "We really need to go grocery shopping," there is still food there. I am so blessed to have that kind of security in my life that I know my family will not worry about going hungry.
- I have a husband who will fight for me. I have witnessed this first hand when I was very sick and I wasn't receiving treatment in a prompt enough manner for him. Those little girl dreams of the white knight who will come rescue you? So true....only in our reality the ogre/witch/evil dragon is actually a surgeon's office/Charter/telemarketer.
- We are this close to paying off our second credit card since starting the Total Money Makeover! Can I get a "Woot! Woot!!"
- There is a lot of laughter and silliness in this house. I love it.
- I live only 10 minutes from American Players Theater and I get to usher for every single show this year. My heart skips a beat just thinking about it.
- I love Jesus and He is a daily presence in my life.
- I no longer have to wear maternity clothes when I am not pregnant. Big fan of that.
- TOY STORY 3.
Sorry. I'm a little pumped to bring Isaiah to see that movie. You know, it's for the kids. I mean, it's not like I would get all jazzed about going to see a cartoon. I'm a grown-up, after all. Right?
Not fooling anyone. Got it. Are you Team Woody or Team Buzz?
Stopping now, I promise. Have a wonderful day and take a moment to look around and count all your blessings and maybe share some here! I'd love to hear about them!
