Anyway, here's what's shakin' with Micah at the ripe old age of 12 months:
- This close to walking! He went from having zero interest in walking to taking several steps (with someone holding his hands) in the span of maybe a week. I don't know what clicked that made him suddenly want to walk, but he's getting really good!
- First word - Papa. I was on the phone with my mom and we were talking about an upcoming visit. I told Micah we were going to go visit Grandma and Grandpa and he busted out with, "Papa!" We've heard him say it several times since then.
- Second word - DaDa. Evan is thrilled about this one.
- Tooth #7! That pesky tooth on his lower gums just popped out and its partner is right under the surface, ready to emerge.
- No more formula or bottles! We're down to the very last can of formula and when it is gone, it is gone. Micah's been doing really well with whole milk at meals and is starting to get used to going to bed without a bottle of formula.
- At his checkup Monday, Micah weighed 29 pounds, 3 ounces. He's dropped below the 100th percentile for weight (down to 98% now)! He is 32 1/2 inches tall (98%) and his head was in the 94% range. Seriously. Dude is still BIG.
- He is so much fun right now. He's starting to be able to play more independently, but still likes to cuddle. We haven't reached the age of tantrums just yet, but he does get a good scream on if he's hungry and you're not providing him with his food in a timely manner.
