Pretzel Hugs have changed my life.
Ok, not really. But they're really, really yummy and they were super-easy to make, even with my two little "helpers" getting in on the process. If you're looking for an easy holiday treat to make with your kids or even just to snack on yourself, give these a go! I found out about Pretzel Hugs on Erin's blog; apparently they are a Christmas tradition for her and her girls!
What you need:
- Pretzel Snaps
- Hershey's Hugs
- Green and Red M&Ms
Enlist your "helpers" to unwrap the Hugs and place one on each pretzel snap.
Attempt (and fail) to keep your "helpers" from sneaking some of the Hugs into their mouths.
Bake in a 200 degree oven for about 7 minutes.
Once the Hugs have got a good melt going, quickly place a red and green M&M on each pretzel/Hug combo, again doing your best to keep your "helpers" from snitching the M&Ms you just sorted into a red pile and a green pile and counted to make sure you would have enough.
Pop your tray of Pretzel Hugs in the fridge overnight (or for a few hours) to get the chocolate to set. I like to munch 'em cold, straight outta the fridge, but Erin suggests letting them sit to bring them to room temperature first. Try both ways, eat them all, then make more. Enjoy!
