Valentine's Day Hugs

It would appear that the days of the paper valentines have gone away.  I remember opening up my little cardboard shoebox containing my haul and flipping through a stack of Looney Tunes, Lisa Frank, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle valentines.

Of course, that really doesn't fly anymore, especially in the days of Pinterest since the "sucker Valentine" has hit the scene.  It's been a very popular option this year, but I opted to go for a variation on the idea....the Hug Valentine!

It really was a spur of the moment idea, so I didn't over-analyze what Isaiah was wearing, what color the backdrop was, or any of the details like that.  I just told him to hold his hand out and smile.

I added the text in Photoshop Elements, printed them as 4x6 photos, then used a Glue Dot to attach the Hug.  I also stuck on a dimensional heart sticker for the final touch.  Cute, simple, and tasty!  I think they turned out pretty well for a last minute spin on a Pinterest favorite!

Oh, in case you're wondering, here are some examples of the famous "Sucker Valentine."

And here is Jessica's version:

How cute is that???

Are you making any valentines this year?  What's your approach?
