Thomas - 6 Months

Well, hello there handsome.

My little baby boy is six months old.  I'm trying so hard to just drink him in and remember everything he's doing right now because this is a turning point.  From here on out, he's closer to toddler-hood and little boy hood rather than infant-hood.  It's a little sad for Mommy.

Here's what's happening at six months old:

  • Thomas is this close to being able to sit up all by himself.  I can prop him up in the corner of the couch and he'll be able to hold himself up there pretty well for quite some time.  He falls over quite quickly if left unsupported though!
  • We're still in uncharted territory as far as food goes.  He continues to reject rice cereal or even the pureed sweet potatoes I tried.  The last time I tried to feed him, he did actually eat a couple bites, but it was a battle.
  • Waking up somewhere around the 4:00 hour in the middle of the night for a bottle yet.  I'm really hoping finally eating solid will help ditch this night feeding.

  • Nothing makes him giggle more than Isaiah being goofy.
  • He wants to be involved and present with whatever you're doing.  I can't just leave him in the living room to play on the floor while I go to the bathroom.  He immediately feels left out and whines the entire time I'm gone!
  • Naps around 9:30 am and then again at around 1:00 pm.  Bedtime is around 7:45 to 8:00ish.
  • Loves to chew on his brothers' toy cars.
  • Ticklish!!!

Oh, my sweet little boy.  I'm so madly in love with you.

Hugs and Kisses,
Mommy
