For Luke, Julia, and Ana

If you're the praying kind and there happens to be a spot available on your prayer request list today, would you please join me in saying a prayer for some wonderful folks named Julia and Luke and a precious little baby named Ana.

We just found out that my hubby's pal from high school (who stood up in our wedding) and his wife were notified after a long legal battle that the sweet baby they have been in the process of adopting and caring for as their own for the last 7 months will be returned to the custody of her birth mother.

Gracious, even typing those words makes me tear up.  Folks, Luke and Julia are AMAZING people and their love for that sweet baby has been out. of. bounds.  We've been hoping and praying for a different outcome for some time, but it looks like God had other plans for them and for Ana.

Please pray that Ana is cared for and loved in a safe and nurturing environment.
Pray that Luke and Julia can find comfort in the Lord and in each other.
Pray that God will mend their broken hearts and reveal his plan to them regarding children.  They want to be parents so badly (and would be INCREDIBLE at it, I might add) and I know this is just devastating to them.

Luke and Julia, you are on my heart today, friends.  My heart breaks for you.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  (Jeremiah 29:11)

God is still on the throne.  He still loves you.  And he loves Ana too.  Wishing you peace and strength in this most difficult time.
