Project Life Tuesday - Week 5

The Mom CreativeWelcome to Project Life Tuesday!

I started using the Project Life system in 2010, so this will be my fourth full year!

I am not a "fancy scrapbooker."  There are so many people out there doing some very impressive things with their Project Life albums that involve a combination of digital skills, pretty embellishments, and other fancy-pants techniques.  I'm not one of those.  I keep it pretty simple so that I know I can keep up and avoid becoming overwhelmed.  To me, it's more important to keep the memories than it is to make them look like they came out of a magazine.  I'm totally fine with it if my layouts feature more iPhone photos than DSLR shots and Instagram is my friend.

I do like to have fun with it though.  :)

If you're looking for inspiration on what others are doing with their Project Life, you can check out my board on Pinterest and be sure to link up on The Mom Creative!

Week 5:

This week kind of accidentally featured teal and orange pretty prominently  I did that kind of accidentally on purpose.  The only insert this week is a vertical 5x7 that holds the program from my Grandma Shirley's memorial service.  I added a label by Martha Stewart (found at STAPLES) to write a couple details about her service.

I used Thickers to put the week number on the date card and I used a couple Cathy Z templates on this left side page.

Anyone else loving Downton Abbey??

That photo above of one of the pages from Thomas' baby book was just put on that chevron pattern in PSE and I printed it out as a photo.  I used a couple arrow stickers left over from my Cobalt kit to point to the next photo.

Right Page:

For the screen shot about Donald Driver's retirement, I just printed it as 3x4 and then added a strip of washi at the bottom.  The bottom left spot is some Seafoam cardstock with two Instagrams and a couple strips of washi.

Several of the extra cards I used this week can be found here:

I used the teal chevron card and the one with the arrow on the left side and then the bicycle and "love bug" on the right page.  They work really well with Seafoam!

And how cute did that "LOVE BUG" card turn out?!  Love it.

I am also still hard at work on Thomas' Baby Book with Project Life and it is coming together so well.  Seriously, this system has been such a blessing.

Here is a sneak peek of some of the baby cuteness going on in that album:

Have a wonderful week and enjoy all the amazing Project Life pretties at The Mom Creative!
