Time Well Wasted.

I admit it.  I will miss their adorable faces.

I will miss their laughs and goofy questions.

I will miss going in to check on Micah after it had been quiet for too long and finding him like this.

But I will love having a break from the "checking."

He had his last day of 4K today, so Evan won't even have to shuttle them around while I'm gone.

I'm not going to change a diaper.
I'm not going to prepare a breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
I'm not going to give a Time Out.

And you know what?  I'm barely planning any activities.  I plan on doing things that usually make me feel like I'm wasting time.

I am going to read.
Breathe.
Sleep in.
Nap.
Spend some time out on the town.
Spend a lot of time in the Word. (For the record, this does not fall into the "wasted time" category.)

And enjoy the quiet.

The laptop is staying home, so I won't be blogging, but you know I can't resist Instagram and Twitter.  I'll be sharing there as I enjoy my little Mommy Vacation!

Please pray for safe travels and favorable driving, decent weather, and most importantly that my time away will be valuable time wasted.

See you next week!

  1. My prayers for you are that you will be filled to the brim with what God has fully intended for this time away. And I pray for Evan to just enjoy every moment that he will have. And have fun with my dear Maribeth!!
