Welcome to Project Life Tuesday! Every week I share photos of a layout I've been working on, either in my family's weekly book or my son's baby book. I started using the Project Life system in 2010, so this will be my fourth full year! I used to be a very traditional scrapbooker who would spend hours on a single layout to document one or two photos. Thanks to Project Life, I have become much more practical and I'm able to record a multitude more memories.
I don't use a lot of fancy tricks or complicated techniques. I would define my style as "hybrid scrapbooking" - a combination of simple digital and a few old school techniques that creates a unique product that reflects our eclectic life. To me, it's more important to keep the memories than it is to make them look like they came out of a magazine. I'm totally fine with it if my layouts feature more iPhone photos than DSLR shots and Instagram is my friend.
And it's a whole lot of fun.

Week 23: Another week with a good balance of digital and physical Project Life products. I've clearly fallen into a pattern when it comes to assembling my layouts, but it works for me so I go with it. As you can see from the photo at the top of the post, I used a tall envelope page to include a few favorite treasures from Isaiah's 4K art stash. I have plenty left over that I hope to scan and include in a new album I want to start assembling for his school years.
The left pages is a lot of photos of just our normal, everyday kind of stuff around here. Pillow forts, Micah being silly, and lounging on the couch.
I used a digital card from the Jade kit to make the "Legos" card above.
This "Captured" card is from the digital Honey kit.
The right page is all about Isaiah's last day of 4K and his "graduation" ceremony. I also included a scan of his diploma in a 8.5x11 page protector. The two digital cards I did were both from the Honey kit and the handwritten journal card is from Jade.
Coming up next week is a 100% digital layout that is all about my Mommy Vacation to Grand Rapids!!! It's going to be a fun one. :) See you then!
